About us

We automate and strengthen your service desk.

ServiceChanger is the automation platform for IT service desks that work in the Microsoft landscape. We were founded in 2025 and are based in Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands.

We believe more work should not automatically mean more people, but smarter service. The goal is not to shift work endlessly from team to team or onto the end user, but to remove unnecessary work. AI supports people, it does not replace them. Real service by real people, administrative work by machines.

We automate group and role memberships in Microsoft Entra ID and local Active Directory based on user attributes (ABAC). Instead of assigning groups by hand, you map once which attributes belong to which set of groups and roles, and ServiceChanger applies that to your tenant.

The license module tracks real license usage from Entra sign-in activity and keeps a contract and seat registry with alerts. ServiceChanger does not assign or revoke licenses itself; you keep visibility on what you pay for and what is actually used.

We work exclusively within Microsoft and Azure: Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune and Microsoft 365. Intune-based asset automation is on the roadmap. By default, ServiceChanger reacts to the attributes already in your directory. If you want to go further, we connect your HR system for onboarding and offboarding as custom work, using automation accounts and runbooks in Azure.

Where it started

Ruben van der Graaf

Ruben van der Graaf

Founder of ServiceChanger

ServiceChanger did not start from technology, but from people. Founder Ruben van der Graaf always wanted to work with people and first moved toward education and sports. Technology was always there too: as a child he fixed computer problems for the neighbours and built websites, and later combined technology and people working as a light jockey and host in nightlife.

People became the work, IT became the hobby, and the combination became the career. Through support engineer, application manager, team lead and IT manager he became responsible for international IT operations and teams across Europe.

One question kept coming back: why do we actually do it this way?

That question became the basis for shift-left, service first, automation and eventually the whole Service Automation Hub. Not to replace people, but to give them time back for the work that actually matters.
